NICCA 33

La société Nicca fut fondée en 1940 par des anciens employés de la société Seiki Kogaku qui devint Canon.

Dès 1942 Nicca développa et produisit des copies de Leica. En 1948 le nom changea et devint Nippon Camera Works et un an plus tard NICCA camera works. La société fournit des boitiers pour la société Sears sous le nom de Tower. En 1958 la société fut racheté par Yashica qui fabriqua le modele 33 presenté ici sous le nom de Yashica YE. Le dernier modéle Nicca : le III-L fut commercialisé par Yashica sous le nom YL. Sous la marque Nicca le modèle 33 fut fabriqué à environ 1000 exemplaires.

Nicca was founded in 1940 by former employees of the Seiki Kogaku company which became Canon.

From 1942 Nicca studied and produced Leica copy Cameras. In 1948 the brand name changed and became Nippon Camera Works and one year later Nicca Camera Works. The Nicca company supplied also cameras for Sears which were named Tower. In 1958 the company was bought by Yashica which continue to manufacture the model 33 with the name Yashica YE and also the last model developped by Nicca (III-L) with the name Yashica YL. Around 1000 units of Nicca 33 were built.
