La société
TANAKA Optical Co. (TANAKA KOGAKU) a eu une existence courte. Fondée en
1953, elle fabriqua des appareils télémétriques, clone de Leica LTM
(M39), jusqu'en 1960.
Le modèle présenté est un Tanack IV-S
fabriqué en 1955. Il était fournit en standard avec un objectif Tanar de
50mm. 3 ouvertures étaient disponibles ; F3,5, F2,8 ou F2. Ce boitier
acceptait bien sur d'autres obectifs à vis M39, Leitz, Canon, Nikon ,
Minolta (Chiyoko), Fujinon, Topcor, ...
Le Tanack IV-S était principalement
exporté vers les Etats-Unis

KOGAKU) had a brief life. Founded in 1953, this company built leica
clone rangefinder camera (LTM M39) till 1960.
The model shown is a Tanack IV-s
model. It was provided with a standard 50mm lens. Different
aperture were available : F3.5, F2.8, F2.0. Of course this camera
accepted also all M39 lenses from other suppliers as : Leitz, Canon,
Nikon, Minolta (Chiyoko), Fujinon, Topcor,....
The IV-s was mainly exported to U.S
