Créer pat Minolta en 1975, nommé
XE au Japon, XE-1 en Europe et XE-7 aux USA, il était construit comme un "tank".
C'est un appareil
complètement automatique à priorité à l'ouverture, basé sur le système mis au
point sur la série XM.
Obturateur vertical développé en collaboration entre Leitz et Copal, beaucoup
moins bruyant que les obturateurs tissus horizontaux. |
Created by Minolta in 1975, named XE
in japan, XE-1 in Europe and XE-7 in USA and built like a "tank". It's a
fully automatic camera with aperture priority based on the automatic
exposure system developped for the XM. The metal vertical shutter was
developped by Copal & Leitz and is more quiet than a cloth horizontal
shutter. An other advantage is the flash synchronisation till 1/90s. Aperture and Shutter speed are displayed in the viewfinder. Leica and Minolta had a good relationship at that time and the XE model was also the base of the Leica R3.
